On Tuesday 6 June 2017 we hosted the 29th Annual One world Media Awards, celebrating journalists and filmmakers whose work increases cultural understanding and promotes equality and justice worldwide. The ceremony, held at BAFTA in central London and hosted by Channel 4 News presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy, was a celebration of the most outstanding media coverage of the developing world.

Following the ceremony, we are delighted to announce this year’s Winners across all 15 categories! Congratulations to the teams behind the work – as well as to the Shortlisted entries and Nominees.  The winners demonstrate the incredible work being done by journalists and filmmakers in uncovering underreported stories and drawing attention to issues of global importance.

A big thank you to all those who entered their work into this year’s Awards – as well as to our generous SponsorsIn-Kind SupportersJudges and volunteers.

We hope that you’ll join us for the 30th anniversary of the One World Media Awards in 2018 – the call for entries will open in December.
