Since its inception, senior media managers from 30 countries around the world have taken part in a programme of professional development in the UK across editorial management and standards, broadcasting technology, regulation, research and policy.
The One World Media fellows met their counterparts in the UK media industry for two-way exchanges on the role of the media in society and developments in media around the world.
Currently, we are reviewing the scheme and developing a new programme to suit the needs of professionals in the changing media environment. In the meantime, we are running professional development programmes for media practitioners in developing countries on an invitation-only basis.
Most recently, a UK-based drama director went to Nairobi to develop the radio drama production skills of Well Told Story, an independent production company producing radio dramas.
