Our day-long workshops aim to inspire and enable the next generation of journalists and filmmakers to cover stories from the wider world through interactive sessions that highlight the skills necessary to deliver outstanding reporting from developing countries.

Photojournalist Kate Holt from storytelling agency Arete shares her tips on taking good pictures and how to tell compelling stories. Kate will lead One World Media’s new photography workshop on Monday 28 November, 'How To Tell a Story Through Images'.

Production Fund now open for applications

Our funding gives those starting out in journalism or filmmaking the opportunity to cover stories in a developing country and bring underreported topics to a wider audience. While our workshops teach practical skills on reporting in the developing world, the fund enables budding journalists and filmmakers to go overseas and put this learning into practice. Our fund provides each recipient with £1000 of support.

Debut Screening of 2015 Production Fund Films at the Curzon Bloomsbury

On Saturday 23rd January the Bertha Doc House at the Curzon Bloomsbury was packed with enthusiastic young film makers and students for the debut screening of five of our 2015 Production Fund films. Afterwards there was a lively Q & A session with four of the filmmakers, chaired by our trustee Jane Mote

Apply for the 2016 Production Fund

The One World Media production fund is now open to proposals for non-fiction media on any platform and will be awarded to new and aspiring journalists and filmmakers to help them cover original stories from developing countries.
