The entry fee is £165 + VAT per entry.
A discounted rate is available for freelancers (£45) and students (£25).
There is no fee to enter the Special Award category.
Entrants may submit any number of entries into any number of categories, but a separate online entry form and entry fee is required for each.
Register for a new user account on the One World Media Submission portal (link will be available as of 8 January).
Once logged in, enter the Awards by clicking ‘Create Submission’ at the top of the page. You will need to provide basic details for your entry, as well as a synopsis, including how it meets the criteria (max. 300 words). This should include background and context, a description of the issue(s) and people involved, impact, and any other relevant information.
If you are entering the International Journalist of the Year or New Voice categories, you will also need to provide a short supporting statement (max. 300 words).
If you are entering a print article, ensure you upload a pdf of the article at the bottom of the form.
Review and submit your form when complete.
If entering a film/video or audio piece, go to the ‘Media Upload’ section and upload your media file following the instructions provided. Once uploaded, go to your ‘Dashboard’ to link your media file with your entry form. To do this, select ‘Link with media file‘ in the ‘Actions‘ menu next to your submitted entry.
After submitting all entries, uploading media files and linking them with each entry form, pay the entry fee online with a credit or debit card. Alternatively, if you need to pay by BACS transfer, please use the invoice generated after you have submitted your entries in order to process the payment. Please note that this option is only available to registered companies.
