Global Short Docs Forum 2023
Terms and Conditions

  1. All decisions of the Global Short Docs Forum’s organisers and jurors are final.
  2. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their submission meets all eligibility requirements.
  3. Jurors reserve the right to decide on the number of shortlisted projects/filmmakers, which might be less than the announced number, if it is deemed that the high standard for submissions has not been met.
  4. Organisers and jurors will not enter into any correspondence with entrants on the subject of submissions.
  5. Applicants may submit any number of projects, but a separate online submission form will be required for each.
  6. By submitting a project, the applicant grants and warrants that the applicant is entitled to grant to One World Media the rights to use images of their submission in promotion of relevant One World Media events. The applicant also grants One World Media the right to record and use the sounds and images of any footage or interviews featuring the applicant, in any television broadcast, website or any other distribution medium or publication in connection with Global Short Docs Forum and/or One World Media, including for publicity and promotional purposes.
  7. Applicants whose project is shortlisted must be prepared to supply, within one week of notification: high resolution digital film files, high resolution images, and up to date project information as requested, for publication in the Forum catalogue and if relevant, on Global Short Docs Forum and One World Media websites.
  8. Applicants whose project is shortlisted must ensure that a representative of their project (director or producer) is available for the duration of the Forum in February-March 2023, to participate in all relevant workshops and meetings online.
  9. Applicants agree to allow One World Media to retain data from the submission form, for non-circulation reference.
  10. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide complete, accurate information about the submission. One World Media shall not be liable for errors or omissions in the submission forms or credit information. If the submission form is inaccurate or incomplete, if the submission does not meet the eligibility requirements, or if it is deemed ineligible for any other reason, then the submission will be disqualified.
