For this OWM In Conversation we spoke to BBC Correspondent, Nafiseh Kohnavard about her powerful and incredibly moving documentary, The Yazidi’s Secret Children (winner of the OWM Television Documentary Award 2020).
Nafiseh discussed how she and her team travelled across Syria and Iraq to tell the stories of the Yazidi women forced into sexual slavery, and shared the challenges of reporting on a story such as this from within a conflict zone.
